Day 1, September 16, 2024 (Monday)
Arrival at Florence's Vespucci Airport or Train Station. Transfer to Rignano sull' Arno, Villa il Palagio. (1 hour drive).
Check-In, Orientation, Welcome Cocktail, Dinner.
Day 2, September 17, 2024 (Tuesday)
(We'll explore the picturesque area known as Garfagnana, east of Florence.)
Rignano - Lucca - Rignano (Breakfast - Departure toward Lucca. Guided history tour. Lunch at Trattoria da Giulio in Pelleria on traditional Lucca cooking since 1945. On the way home, we will visit the Capezzana Winery in Carmignano for wine tastings and food. Return to our Hotel in Rignano.
Day 3, September 18, 2024 (Wednesday)
(We'll explore Casentino's beautiful area, which is known for its natural beauty and rich history. West of Florence)
Rignano - Stia, Poppi, - Arezzo (Breakfast - Guided visit to the Stia Wool Museum. Visit the Poppi Castle. Sparkling Wine Tastings with food at Fregnan Winery, Italy's only winery, uses the French Methode Champenoise for its bubbly. House-made salumi and Casentino Prosciutto prepared by the master butcher, television personality, and King of Chianina Beef Chef Simone Fracassi. - Departure toward Arezzo. Guided historical tour of the city. Dinner featuring the classic Aretina cuisine at the famous Osteria Da Giovanna. Return to our Hotel in Rignano).
Day 4, September 19, 2024 (Thursday): The heart of Chianti
Rignano - Panzano - Greve in Chianti (Breakfast - Departure to Panzano, where Italy's Tuscany's most recognized butcher operates - Dario Cecchini. Lunch at Dario's restaurant, followed by a visit to the Macelleria Falorni in Greve - Wine and olive Oil Tastings of their famous Chianti Classico and extra virgin olive oils at the Falorni Museum of Wine in the afternoon, followed by evening dinner at the Giovanni da Verrazzano Restaurant in the heart of Piazza Matteotti in Greve in Chianti. Return to our Hotel in Rignano).
Day 5, September 20, 2024 (Friday) (We'll be exploring the original Manhattan, a nickname for San Gimignano due to its unique skyline)
Rignano - San Donato - San Gimignano (Breakfast - Departure to the quaint medieval borgo of San Donato near San Gimignano. Wine tasting with lunch at this incredible and romantic location. Depart to visit San Gimignano, which is about 10 minutes away. Sheila will guide you through some of the most important histories of Italian Manhattan after a must-stop at the 2024 World's Best Gelateria, owned by Chef Sergio Dondoli. Dinner will follow later in the day at Locanda La Mandragola, with a menu designed by Andrea and Chef Walter. Return to our Hotel in Rignano).
Day 6, September 21, 2024 (Saturday)
Rignano - Siena - Rignano (Breakfast - Departure to Siena. The day will be spent entirely in this famous city. You will have a guided tour and free time to enjoy the city in all its aspects. A brief stop at Pasticceria Il Magnifico In the afternoon, a sparkling toast, followed by dinner at Osteria Bonelli in the city center, with a traditional Senese menu skillfully prepared by Chef Lorenzo Pasquini. Return to our Hotel in Rignano).
Day 7, September 22, 2024 (Sunday)
Rignano - Firenze - Rignano (Breakfast - Departure to Firenze. The group will meet after a brief walk near the San Lorenzo Mercato Centrale Central Market. There will be a sugar break at Pasticceria Sieni, owned by Signora Andreina Mancini. The pasticceria is one of the oldest in Firenze, operating since 1909. The group will have free time all afternoon and depart toward the hotel in Rignano for an early re-enter—a farewell cocktail in the gardens, followed by a farewell dinner masterfully prepared by Chef Giuseppe Zannini.
Day 8 / September 23, 2024
Rignano to Vespucci Airport
Morning Breakfast / Departure to Santa Maria Novella Train Station and Florence Airport (Vespucci) for the final destinations, according to the guests' itineraries.
A Guided Tour with Chef Walter, a renowned culinary expert, and Travel Consultant Sheila Filipponi, a seasoned Tuscany enthusiast, will ensure a confident and enriching experience.
